KAD Series Low Profile, Tri-state DIP Switch
The KAD Series is a tri-state DIP switch replacing the KAT Series. While most DIP switches feature just “ON” and “OFF” functionality with multiple positions, the KAD Series DIP switch is a tri-state switch that features “high output,” “low output” and “high impedance” or “OFF” functionality at multiple positions. This can be useful in situations where multiple devices are connected to the same bus and need to take turns accessing it.
KAD Series low-profile DIP switches are available with 4, 5, 8, 9 or 10 positions, with each circuit featuring a life expectancy of 2,000 cycles. Switches are available with straight, through-hole or gull wing termination and are delivered in either tube or tape and reel packaging, An extended or recessed actuator is also available, and a top tape seal for protection from dust and moisture is available with the recessed actuator.
